June to September is hiking and trekking season — long days, wildflowers in the high pastures, lakes still cold but swimmable, and most trails clear of snow above 1,800 metres only in mid-summer. July and August are warm during the day (20-25°C up on the mountain) and cold at night.
December to April is the ski season at Kolašin Valleys — most reliable in January and February. The mountain holds snow well into spring.
Shoulder months (May, October) are unpredictable — the lower forest is beautiful in autumn, but high trails are often blocked by mud or early snow.
