Bjelasica is in northern Montenegro, accessed mainly through the town of Kolašin on the southern flank. Kolašin sits on the Belgrade-Bar railway line — a slow but spectacular journey from Podgorica (about 90 minutes) or from Bar on the coast (3 hours). Two daily trains continue north to Belgrade in about 11 hours.
By road, Kolašin is on the M-2 highway about 70 km north of Podgorica. The new highway (the Bar-Boljare A-1) cuts the drive from Podgorica to under an hour. Sasa-Tirana–Podgorica is the nearest airport. Buses from Podgorica to Kolašin run roughly every two hours.
For the Biogradska Gora entrance, exit the M-2 at the Kraljice Pass and follow the signed turn-off about 12 km north of Kolašin.
