Slovenska Obala

Budva's main beach promenade stretching north from the old town

Slovenska obala is the long promenade beach running north from the old town walls and fronted by Budva's main hotel strip. In July and August it is packed, noisy, and full of sun loungers rented at resort prices. Outside peak season it is a pleasant place to walk: the promenade is well-maintained, the water clean, and the view back to the old town's rooftops satisfying.

The beach is mostly pebble and coarse sand. Several beach bars and restaurants operate along its length during summer. It is the social centre of Budva's resort scene — where the nightclubs thump until dawn and the waterfront tables fill up by 7pm. If you want this version of Budva, you'll find it here. If you want something quieter, walk to Mogren or drive south.
