A 20-minute walk along the coastal path from Buljarica brings you to Petrovac, a small resort town built around a Venetian fortress overlooking the harbour. The fortress (Kaštel Lastva) dates from the 16th century and is open to wander; the views from the ramparts take in the Petrovac bay and the islets offshore.
Petrovac itself is more developed than Buljarica — beach bars, restaurants, an evening promenade — without the high-rise sprawl of Budva. A good place to come for dinner and a drink before walking back over the headland to a quieter night in Buljarica.
