Het Ketelhuis occupies the old boiler house of the Westergasfabriek gasworks, one of the Victorian industrial buildings converted when the complex was redeveloped. It specialises in Dutch film — new releases, retrospectives, and festival premieres — alongside a broader arthouse programme, in a single screening room that keeps the building's original brick and iron-frame character intact.
It's an easy stop on a walk through Westerpark, especially combined with dinner or drinks at one of the other converted gasworks buildings nearby.
