STRAAT

A street art museum in a vast former warehouse at the NDSM wharf in Amsterdam-Noord. The collection features over 150 large-scale works by artists from more than 30 countries, painted directly on the walls of the industrial space. The scale is immense — many pieces are several storeys high — and the quality is consistently impressive, ranging from photorealistic portraits to abstract murals to politically charged installations.

STRAAT opened in 2020 and the collection continues to evolve, with artists regularly invited to add new works. The industrial setting at NDSM suits the art perfectly. Take the free ferry from Centraal Station to NDSM-werf (about 15 minutes), then it's a short walk. Combine with a wander around the NDSM wharf itself — a former shipyard now filled with studios, cafés, and creative businesses.
