Shopping in Apeldoorn is concentrated along the Hoofdstraat, the long main street running through the centre. The Oranjerie mall, about halfway down, has around 60 shops covering clothes, electronics, toys and accessories. It observes a "koopzondag" -- open the first Sunday of each month, typically 11:00 to 18:00.
Beyond the mall, the Hoofdstraat itself is lined with the usual Dutch high-street chains plus some independent shops. The Paleis Het Loo museum shop is worth a stop for china, art prints and postcards -- some items are reproductions from the palace collection. Open Tuesday through Sunday, 13:00 to 17:00.
