Things to Do

Almost everything worth seeing in Ede is actually in or around the Hoge Veluwe National Park on the east side of town — the landscape, the Kröller-Müller Museum, and the scattering of smaller villages, castles and museums that fringe the park. The town of Ede itself offers only a couple of modest sights: the old church in the centre and a small local history museum in the former Ede-Centrum railway station. Just east of town on the Ginkelseheide heath, the Airborne Monument marks the drop zones where British paratroopers landed at the start of Operation Market Garden in September 1944. Plan a full day for the park and the museum, and a half-day for anything else.
