Giethoorn has very limited shopping — one small supermarket (which doubles as the post office), a few souvenir shops along the canals, and some craft studios. Rhoda Pottery sells handmade ceramics produced on site, and you can watch the potters at work. Gloria Maris has shell-based jewellery and decorative items. The shop at Museum de Oude Aarde sells minerals, fossils, and geological curiosities. Don't come expecting boutiques.
