Het Park — formally the Maaspark — is a long English-style landscape garden laid out in the 1850s by the great Dutch park designers Zocher father and son, running along the right bank of the Maas from the Euromast down to the Westzeedijk. It is the only substantial piece of pre-war centre that survived intact: lawns, mature plane trees, ornamental ponds, and a Norman-style folly.
Walk through it on the way down to the Euromast for the view, and stop at the Heineken Hoek café-restaurant on the river side. In summer the park hosts free open-air concerts on weekend afternoons.
