Rotterdam offers shopping all week. The Lijnbaan, Europe's first pedestrian shopping street, anchors the centre alongside the sunken Koopgoot (Beurstraverse). For markets, the Centrummarkt on Binnenrotte runs Tuesdays and Saturdays with around 500 stalls. The Zuiderboulevard stretches two kilometres through the south side with hundreds of smaller shops.
