The Lancierskazerne is one of Tilburg's older surviving pieces of military and industrial architecture. Built as barracks for the Dutch cavalry, it later became part of the city's wool and leather industry, so the building carries two important chapters of Tilburg's history in one place.
Today it houses part of the city archives. Even if you are not going inside, it is worth a short look while walking through the centre, especially if you are interested in the brick industrial buildings that shaped modern Tilburg.
