Svelvikryggen is the narrow glacial ridge that almost pinches Drammensfjord in two near Svelvik. Built from sand and gravel left by meltwater after the last ice age, it creates a striking natural constriction in the fjord.
The place is most interesting if you like landscape stories: here you can see how ice, water, and sediment shaped the fjord into its present form. It is a modest stop, but a good one on a slow route around Drammen and the lower fjord.
