Things to Do

Gdynia's sights cluster along the waterfront: the Southern Pier with the two museum ships, the Emigration Museum in the old marine station, the Aquarium, and the long promenade out to Orłowo. Inland, the modernist architecture of the 1920s and 30s is the city's other distinctive feature — best seen on a walk down Świętojańska Street from the station to the sea. The wooded cliffs of Kępa Redłowska and the Orłowo beach south of the centre are within tram and train range and worth a half-day each.
