Former Franciscan Monastery Complex

The Former Franciscan Monastery Complex near Chęciny was founded by Casimir III the Great in the fourteenth century. The complex includes a rebuilt Gothic church, a late Renaissance monastery building, a domed chapel from 1640, and later seventeenth-century additions.

Parts of the complex now serve healthcare uses, so treat it as a historic architecture stop rather than a full museum visit. It is most worthwhile if you are already exploring Chęciny, Paradise Cave, or the countryside south-west of Kielce.
