The Copernicus Science Centre is one of the most visited museums in Poland, opened in 2010 on the Vistula embankment. It is an entirely hands-on experience: 450 interactive exhibits across four themed zones covering the human body, technology, mathematics, light, and sound. It also operates a planetarium and a rooftop garden with further exhibits.
The museum is designed for everyone, not just children — many exhibits are genuinely challenging for adults. The building itself is striking, designed to evoke a ship on the river. Book tickets in advance during school holidays when it gets crowded. The planetarium shows run separately and need separate booking.
