Bar do Rio is a simple waterfront bar near the Cacilhas ferry terminal — the kind of place where locals stop for a beer or a coffee while waiting for the ferry, or where day-trippers settle in for longer once they realise there is nowhere better to sit with a drink and watch the Tagus. The terrace faces the river and Lisbon directly.
The drinks list is straightforward: Portuguese beers, local wine, and coffee. In warm weather the terrace is the draw — the combination of the river view, the constant activity of ferries and boats crossing the water, and the relative quiet of the Almada side make it a genuinely relaxing place to spend an hour.
