Almada's bar and cafe life is low-key and neighbourhood-oriented. Cacilhas has a handful of riverside bars where you can drink a beer and watch the ferries cross the Tagus. The old town above has small cafes that serve the local community rather than tourists. Costa da Caparica heats up considerably in summer, when beach bars run the length of the northern end of the coast.
