Getting There

Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport is 7km northeast of the city centre, connected by metro (the Red Line, direction Aeroporto, takes about 20 minutes to Baixa-Chiado) and by bus, taxi, and Uber. The airport has good connections from across Europe with TAP Air Portugal and most major European carriers.

By rail, Santa Apolónia is the main long-distance station, on the Blue Metro Line. International trains from Madrid arrive here; the journey from Madrid takes about 10 hours (Lusitania Comboio Hotel overnight) or 9.5 hours by day (Trenhotel). Oriente station, in Parque das Nações, handles long-distance and some international trains and is a significant transport hub on the Red and Green metro lines. Trains from Porto take about 3 hours.

By bus, Rede Expressos and FlixBus run services from Porto, Faro, and Spanish cities into Sete Rios or Oriente bus terminals.
