An exhibition and viewing experience built inside Pillar 7, one of the support columns of the Ponte 25 de Abril. A glass-floored platform projects out 80 metres above the ground, and the visit explains how the bridge was engineered and built — the cables, the anchorages, and the men who put it together in the 1960s.
The real draw is the perspective: standing inside the structure looking up at the underside of the deck, with traffic rumbling overhead and the Tagus spread out below. It is a short walk from the Doca de Santo Amaro and combines naturally with a wander through Alcântara's riverside.
