ASTRA Museum is one of Romania's great open-air museums, spread through forest and lakeside paths outside Sibiu. Windmills, wooden churches, watermills, farmsteads, and workshops have been gathered from across the country to show rural life at full scale.
This is not a quick indoor collection. Give it several hours, wear comfortable shoes, and let the buildings explain regional differences in landscape, craft, and daily work. It is one of the strongest reasons to linger in Sibiu.
