Restaurant La Turn

La Turn (At the Tower) sits at the base of the Council Tower, with tables on Piata Mica in summer. It serves traditional Romanian and Saxon-influenced dishes: duck confit with red cabbage, pork knuckle with mustard and horseradish, ciorba de burta (tripe soup) if you are in the mood for something authentic and challenging. The setting — the tower above, the medieval square all around — makes the food taste better than it might in less atmospheric surroundings.

Service can be slow on busy evenings, particularly during the summer festival season. Worth the wait. Reservations advisable for summer weekends.
