Suzdal has no railway station. The nearest rail connection is Vladimir, 26 kilometres south, which has regular services to Moscow's Kursky station (about 2 hours by express train). From Vladimir, buses run to Suzdal roughly every 30–40 minutes; the journey takes about 40 minutes. Taxis and rideshares between the two towns are also readily available.
From Moscow, direct buses run to Suzdal from the Shchyolkovo bus terminal (about 4 hours). This is a viable option but the train–bus combination via Vladimir is generally faster and more comfortable.
Most visitors arrive by car as part of a Golden Ring circuit. Suzdal is about 230 km from Moscow via the M7 motorway. Parking is straightforward at the main sites.
