Suzdal's sights are compact enough to cover on foot in two days, but the experience rewards a slower pace. The Kremlin, the Monastery of Saint Euthymius, and the Museum of Wooden Architecture form the core, each a solid half-day. Between them, the town is threaded with quiet lanes, painted wooden fences, and clusters of onion domes — the incidental pleasure of wandering here is as good as any single monument.
Most sites charge an entrance fee; combined tickets cover multiple buildings within the same complex. Arrive early at the Monastery of Saint Euthymius and the Kremlin to beat the tour groups from Vladimir and Moscow.
