The Banjica Concentration Camp Museum is one of Belgrade's most serious World War II sites. The former camp held anti-fascists, Jews, Roma, Partisans, Chetniks, and other prisoners under Nazi occupation and local collaboration, and the museum preserves documents, photographs, and objects connected to that history.
It is not a polished tourist attraction, and that is partly why it matters. Visit with time to absorb the material, then connect it with Jajinci and the wider occupation history of Belgrade; the site gives a much darker counterpoint to the city's café-heavy central districts.
