Belgrade's nightlife is genuinely renowned across Europe. The splavovi — floating clubs and bars moored along the banks of the Sava and Danube — are unique to the city and operate through summer nights with a mix of regional pop, turbofolk, electronic music, and house. On land, the bar district around Strahinjića Bana street in the Dorćol neighbourhood is popular with younger Belgraders and foreign visitors. The cobbled Skadarlija bohemian quarter has traditional kafanas with live folk music and a more old-fashioned atmosphere.
