Banská Štiavnica's entire old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so sightseeing here is less about finding individual landmarks than about wandering the steep streets and absorbing the layered history. The two castles, the mining museum, and the Calvary are the main destinations, but the churches, the historic bourgeois houses, and the network of mountain reservoirs make every direction worth exploring.
