Au Café on Obchodná Street is one of Bratislava's older specialty coffee institutions — a small, busy cafe that introduced many Bratislava residents to properly made espresso in the early 2000s and has maintained its reputation since. The coffee programme focuses on single-origin espresso drinks. The space is tight, the baristas are serious about their work, and the atmosphere is more interested in coffee than conversation.
A good starting point for a morning walk from the train station toward the old town.
