The Bratislavský Meštiansky Pivovar (Bratislava Civic Brewery) is a brewpub in the old town that produces its own unfiltered lagers and ales on the premises. The beer is fresher than anything you'll find in a bottle, and the food — generous portions of Slovak pub classics — is designed to go with it. The interior has the warm atmosphere of a Central European brewery: wooden furniture, low lighting, and the smell of malt.
The brewery tap room can fill up on weekend evenings. The range usually includes a light lager, a dark lager, and a seasonal special. A sampler tray is the best introduction to the range.
