Zylinder is one of the most reliable restaurants on the Main Square — a brasserie-style place serving a good-quality version of Central European bistro food. The menu covers Slovak and international dishes, with duck confit, svíčková (beef in cream sauce), and a selection of Slovak wines. The terrace on the square is busy in summer; the interior is warm and well-suited to a winter dinner.
Prices are higher than the off-square alternatives but the quality and location justify the premium. Reservations are advisable for the terrace on summer evenings.
