A small but rewarding museum dedicated to Master Pavol of Levoča, the woodcarver responsible for the St. James altar. It occupies a 15th-century burgher's house on the western side of the square, traditionally identified as the master's home and workshop, and is now a branch of the Spiš Museum.
Inside you'll find tools, smaller carvings attributed to his workshop, copies of his most famous works at study scale, and a reconstruction of how a late-Gothic carver's studio would have looked. A good companion visit either just before or just after seeing the high altar itself.
