The old town is small enough to walk in an hour, but rewarding enough to spend a full day. The Church of St. James alone justifies the visit, and the square around it is one of the finest in Slovakia. Beyond the main sights, there's the cage of shame, the town walls, and the hilltop basilica with views over the surrounding countryside.
