Dobsinska Ice Cave is one of the great caves of the Slovak Karst, with thick floors and curtains of ice surviving deep inside the mountain. It was electrically lit in the 1880s, unusually early for a European cave, and the public route still feels dramatic: cold, blue-white chambers reached after a forested walk from the valley.
