Trnava is well connected to Bratislava by train — the journey takes around 35 minutes on a regional service, and trains run several times per hour. From Vienna, you can reach Trnava in about 90 minutes by train, changing at Bratislava or taking a direct regional connection. The train station is a short walk south of the old town.
By car, Trnava sits on the D1 motorway between Bratislava and Brno, making it an easy stop on drives through western Slovakia. Parking is available around the old town perimeter; the centre itself is pedestrianised.
