Kayak and Paddleboard Tours

The rocky cove coastline north of Conil is well-suited to kayaking and paddleboarding — the calm inlets between the headlands are sheltered from the Atlantic swell, and several of the smaller coves are only accessible from the sea. Tour operators based on the northern beach (Playa de los Bateles north end) offer guided kayak trips that take you through the coves and into caves in the cliff base.

Half-day tours run most summer mornings and usually include a stop for swimming in one of the less-visited coves. Equipment is provided; no prior experience is necessary for the standard tours. More experienced paddlers can hire kayaks or SUP boards by the hour and explore independently. The cliff scenery seen from the water is substantially more dramatic than from the clifftop paths, and the combination of clear water and rocky coastline makes this one of the better active options in the area.

Operators change from year to year — ask at the tourist office or look for signs along the beach promenade. Most run from June through September.
