Estepona has no train station. The nearest airports are Málaga (70 km east, about 50 minutes by car on the A-7 motorway) and Gibraltar (30 km west, 30 minutes). Bus services run from Málaga bus station and from Marbella, operated primarily by Comes and Avanza — journey time from Marbella is about 30 minutes. Taxis and hire cars are the most practical options for visitors combining Estepona with other parts of the Costa del Sol. The town is on the A-7 coastal road, with the AP-7 toll motorway bypassing it slightly inland.
