Basilica San Juan de Dios is one of Granada's showiest Baroque churches. The exterior is restrained enough, but the interior is covered in gilded carving, painted domes, mirrors, sculpture, and reliquaries, with almost no plain surface left untouched.
It is also the burial place of Saint John of God. If the staff allow it, climb behind the main altar to see the small upper chamber where bones and relics are displayed.
