El Ladrón de Agua

A restaurant in a beautifully restored 16th-century house on the Carrera del Darro, below the Albaicín. The name ("The Water Thief") comes from a poem by the Granadan poet Federico García Lorca, and the whole establishment has a literary, slightly romantic atmosphere — exposed stone, high ceilings, candlelit in the evening. The menu focuses on seasonal Andalucían ingredients prepared in a contemporary style.

The terrace tables overlooking the Río Darro are among the most atmospheric dining spots in the city. The attached hotel occupies the upper floors of the same building.
