Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Aurora

The baroque parish church on the Plaza de España, built in the 17th century on the site of an earlier mosque-then-chapel. The interior is more austere than the heavy painted facade suggests — single nave, gilt altarpiece, a small treasury with Renaissance silverwork from the convents of the sierra.

Open mornings and around evening Mass. The bell tower is one of the highest points in the village and a useful landmark from anywhere in the lanes.
