Things to Do

Grazalema is a base for walking in the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park — one of the wildest, wettest, and least-visited corners of Andalucía. Many of the best trails require a permit from the park office; some are closed in spring during the griffon vulture nesting season.

The village itself is a maze of whitewashed lanes, baroque churches, and balconies of geraniums. Allow a morning to walk it. The market square (Plaza de España) and the early-Renaissance church of Nuestra Señora de la Aurora are the focal points.
