La Manchega is one of the oldest bars in the city, opened in 1886. The interior is barely touched: marble counter, Andalusian tiles, hams hanging from the ceiling, and a slate listing the day's specials chalked up in handwriting that hasn't changed in decades.
Order a fino or a beer and the tapa is usually something serious — a small pork stew, a slice of tortilla, a slice of jamón. Cash preferred. Closed on Wednesdays.
