By train. Jaén has one slow connection to Madrid (around 4 hours) and an even slower line via Córdoba. The station is a 20-minute walk from the centre.
By bus. Easier than the train. ALSA runs frequent services from Granada (1.5 hours), Córdoba (2 hours), Málaga (3.5 hours), and Madrid (4-5 hours). The bus station is in the centre.
By car. Jaén is on the A-44 motorway that links Granada to Madrid. Roughly 1 hour from Granada, 1.5 from Córdoba, 3 from Madrid.
By air. No airport. Granada-Jaén Airport (Federico García Lorca) is 75km away with a handful of domestic and European flights. Most visitors fly to Málaga (200km) and take the bus.
