Jaén punches above its weight for sights. The Renaissance cathedral and the hilltop castle are both first-rate, and there is a serious museum of olive culture and one of Iberian Iron Age art to keep you another half-day. Most of it sits in or around the steeply sloping old town, walkable but tiring.
