The Palacio de Villardompardo is the 16th-century Renaissance palace built directly over the Arab Baths. The palace itself is open as a free museum — two collections occupy the upper floors. The Museum of Popular Arts and Customs covers traditional Jaén life: olive harvesting, the agrarian household, religious processions. Upstairs is the International Museum of Naive Art, an unexpected and very enjoyable collection.
Together with the Baños Árabes downstairs, this is one of the most rewarding stops in the city. Entry is free for EU citizens, €3.50 for everyone else, and includes all three sections.
