Manilva punches well above its size for historic curiosities. The Roman baths at Hedionda and the Castillo de la Duquesa are genuinely impressive; the hilltop village of Manilva offers some of the most dramatic views on the western Costa del Sol; and the marina at Puerto de la Duquesa gives the coast its modern leisure anchor. Between the Roman-era sulphurous springs and a glass of local Moscatel wine, there is plenty to fill a day or two.
