Bar Las Flores

Bar Las Flores sits on Calle Cuevas de la Sombra, the darker of the two cave streets, and has been a local fixture for decades. The bar serves the kind of simple tapas that locals actually eat rather than the slightly more tourist-oriented versions found on the busier Cuevas del Sol: patatas bravas, tortilla española, boquerones fritos, and whatever the kitchen has decided to prepare that day.

It is a good choice if you want to see Setenil in a less self-conscious mode, as it attracts more residents than visitors. The wine list is short but the local rosé is perfectly cold and very cheap. In the afternoon, after the day-trip coaches have left, this is a good place to sit and watch the village return to its own rhythm.
