Tarifa's main attractions divide into three categories: the small walled old town with its Moorish castle and Mudéjar church; the natural park along the strait, with whale-watching boats and clifftop walks; and the Roman city of Baelo Claudia on the coast to the north. Most visitors spend their mornings in town and afternoons either on the water or out on the wind-blown beaches; an extra day allows for Bolonia and the Roman ruins.
