La Ponderosa is one of the more reliable choices on the S'Arenal waterfront for Mallorcan-inflected cooking — fish stew, grilled catch, and the local tumbet (a layered vegetable and potato dish with tomato sauce) alongside the standard seafront fare. The terrace has a reasonable view of the beach and the kitchen is competent without being ambitious.
The restaurant is popular enough to need a reservation in July and August, particularly for the dinner sitting with sea views. Prices are mid-range by Mallorca standards: expect €20–30 per person for a full meal with wine.
