Convent de Sant Domingo

The 17th-century Dominican convent in the centre of Pollença now houses the town's history museum and a beautiful cloister of two storeys of round arches around a central well. The cloister is occasionally used as a concert venue during the summer Festival de Pollença.

The museum's strongest exhibits are the prehistoric finds from the surrounding area — Talayotic bronzes, ceramics, and burial goods — and a small section of devotional art. Worth half an hour; the cloister itself is the real attraction.
