Puerto de Alcudia rewards those who look beyond the beach towels. The old walled town of Alcudia is just two kilometres inland, a medieval grid of narrow streets preserved well enough that you can spend a morning just wandering and still find new corners. Below it, the Roman ruins of Pollentia spread across a hillside — one of the best preserved Roman sites in the Balearics, and far less visited than it deserves.
Further out, the Cap des Pinar peninsula pokes into the bay to the north, partly a military zone but partly open to hikers, with views across the whole sweep of the bay on clear days. To the south, the S'Albufera wetlands pull serious birdwatchers from across Europe. If you're here with children, the Hidropark water park fills an afternoon without anyone complaining about it.
